Airbus A320
The Airbus A320 family is a series of medium-sized, short- to medium-range, single-aisle, twin-engine aircraft developed and produced by the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. It is the first commercial aircraft to use a digital fly-by-wire flight control system and the first civil passenger to be designed with relaxed static stability. The A320 family aircraft are designed to improve passenger cabin adaptability and comfort. The A320 family includes A318, A319, A320, and A321, which together form a single-aisle aircraft family. It is to meet the needs of airlines for low-cost operation of short- to medium-haul routes, offering operators the greatest commonality and economy in the 100 to 220-seat aircraft category. The Airbus A320 family adopts a "new is better" philosophy in its design, using advanced design and production, new structural materials, and advanced digital avionics, and makes extensive use of composite materials as the primary structural material, making it the first civil passenger aircraft in to be designed with relaxed static stability.
