In the early days, China's aviation industry developed rapidly by introducing Soviet fighters and supporting equipment. In the early 1960s, when China and the Soviet Union debated, Soviet leader Khrushchev decided to take new and serious steps to exert economic pressure on China in an attempt to force China to submit, thus expanding the differences in the ideological field to state relations.

On July 16th, 1960, the Soviet government took note of the China government and unilaterally decided to recall all Soviet experts working in China. According to the original plan, the Soviet side recalled all 1,390 experts who worked in China from July 25th to September 1st, and suspended 900 Soviet experts who had applied for jobs in China. At the same time, the Soviet side tore up 12 agreements signed by the Chinese and Soviet governments, an agreement signed by the two academies of science, 443 expert contracts and contract supplements, and abolished 257 scientific and technological cooperation projects.

Mao Zedong meets Nixon

Mao Zedong met with Nixon and China. After the door was closed, China had to find another way out and develop military and civil aircraft by itself.

In the late 1960s, Sino-Soviet relations showed a deteriorating trend, while Sino-US relations showed signs of improvement. After Nixon took office, the then President of the United States re-examined its China policy and came to the conclusion that in the past 20 years, the United States advocated the isolation and blockade of China, but it did not work. On the contrary, it suffered huge losses in China's interests, and the United States could no longer ignore the existence of the new China. The conflict between China and the Soviet Union is getting worse and worse. In the struggle for hegemony between the United States and the Soviet Union, China has become a force to rely on. Later, the Knicks and Kissinger began to contact with China's high-level officials and began to relax the blockade of military technology to China. This provides a new opportunity for China aviation science and technology circles to contact, understand and learn advanced western technologies, airworthiness standards and reference prototypes.
