On the morning of November 21st, an Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with China-made aviation radial tires landed smoothly at Liangjiang Airport in Guilin, Guangxi. This is the first time that a domestic civil aviation aircraft has assembled a domestic aviation radial tire and successfully tested it.

The test flight was carried out by Guilin Airlines. The whole flight test process was carried out in strict accordance with the flight test outline approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. After two days, a total of 9 subjects were tested and verified, and all the experimental subjects were successfully completed. The flight test results meet the requirements of the approved flight test program.

According to reports, this type of radial tire was developed by China Aviation Railway Group Co., Ltd., with completely independent intellectual property rights. It passed the rigorous test and assessment stipulated by airworthiness standards, and its technical performance reached the requirements of international standards. In October 2024, it was awarded the CTSOA certificate of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

According to the deputy general manager of China Aviation Railway Group Co., Ltd., Airbus A320 series and Boeing 737 are the mainstream aircraft types in China's civil aviation passenger aircraft at present. In 2023, the aviation bias tire produced by the company has been successfully installed on Boeing 737-800. The reporter learned that before, China's civil aviation tires basically relied on imports, and the success of two test flights marked that China had initially possessed the ability to guarantee the domestic production of such tires.
