Date: 2024/11/7

Air China flight CA1523 flew from Beijing Capital International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, which was also the first C919 aircraft wearing a five-star red flag and officially put into operation.

At 11: 06 a.m., Air China flight CA1523 took off from the Capital Airport to Shanghai with 157 passengers, and the passenger load factor reached 93%. Many passengers are specially to experience the domestic large aircraft wearing the five-star red flag.

The Air China C919 aircraft put into commercial operation this time is the first extended-range aircraft in the industry, which has greater maximum takeoff weight and engine thrust and better market applicability. The cabin layout can provide a more spacious ride experience. The well-designed C919 logo and meals in the cabin are also favored by many passengers.

Zhang Xia, flight attendant of Air China: For the 919 model, we have some special signs on the meals, such as the new voyage and new expectation of C919. At the same time, there are special signs on the inside of the lunch box, the cakes in the meals and the special signs of C919.

After an hour and 40 minutes of air flight, the plane landed smoothly at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. In the future, this C919 aircraft wearing a five-star red flag is planned to fly to Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Hangzhou routes.

Eight C919 aircraft have been put into commercial flight in China.

With the commercial operation of Air China's C919 aircraft, the number of domestic large aircraft flying in China has reached 8, and the cumulative number of passengers transported has exceeded 500,000.

It is understood that in addition to Air China C919 aircraft, which was put into commercial operation for the first time, China Eastern Airlines' C919 fleet aircraft has reached seven. At present, it operates five regular routes, including Shanghai Hongqiao to Chengdu Tianfu, Beijing Daxing, Xi 'an Xianyang, Guangzhou Baiyun, and Xi 'an Xianyang to Beijing Daxing. By September 8 this year, the cumulative commercial flight time exceeded 10,000 hours, with 3,855 commercial flights and 517,000 passengers. The daily utilization rate of aircraft has gradually increased from the initial 3.62 hours to the current 8 hours.

In addition, the first C919 aircraft delivered to China Southern Airlines is expected to be put into commercial operation on September 19th, and it is planned to fly the Guangzhou-Shanghai route.

Expert: China's civil aviation industry realizes autonomous and controllable transportation capacity.

With the three major airlines, Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines, C919 aircraft have been put into commercial operation one after another. C919 aircraft have the conditions to enter large-scale commercial operation and can start full operation in the domestic civil aviation market. This also allows China's civil aviation industry to achieve autonomous and controllable transportation capacity.

For a long time, China's civil aircraft are mainly European and American aircraft such as Boeing and Airbus, and the domestic aircraft capacity can't meet the development needs of domestic industries. The large-scale commercial operation of C919 aircraft will effectively change this situation.

Zhongshan, Chief Economist, Institute of Air Transport, China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology: It can be said that it can enhance the autonomous controllability of our fleet. In addition, judging from our standard system, with the improvement of our future C series standard system, the internationalization of standards can enhance the international influence of our industry, even China, and enhance the core competitiveness of our whole country.

In addition, Zhongshan said that with the improvement of environmental protection requirements and the shortening of the renewal cycle of passenger aircraft, the demand for airlines to replace new aircraft is increasing, which also brings new market opportunities for C919.

Zhongshan, Chief Economist, Institute of Air Transport, China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology: We can take this opportunity to provide our aircraft for our relevant market. It can guarantee the demand of these markets, and it can be completed and released normally. We have very good expectations for the future C-series aircraft.
