China Eastern Airlines' first C919 domestic large aircraft completed engine replacement.

"The engine test run is over, the parameters are normal, and the leakage check is normal!" Recently, the engine replacement of China Eastern Airlines' first domestic large aircraft C919 was completed for the first time in the world, as the test parameters showed normal.

Aero-engine can provide thrust, alternating current, air and hydraulic power for aircraft. Because of its important role, it is called the heart of an aircraft. Aircraft engines also have a "service life". Relevant parts or components need to be replaced at the first time after the service life expires, and sent to the engine manufacturer for comprehensive maintenance, and then returned for use after completion. Engine replacement is one of the difficult tasks in aircraft maintenance. It is reported that China Eastern Airlines obtained the renewal and maintenance capability of C919 this year.

According to the relevant person in charge of Northwest Branch of China Eastern Airlines Technology, the replacement of C919 aircraft engine was carried out in sequence according to multiple procedures such as disassembly, installation, inspection and testing. During this replacement process, the crew of Northwest Branch of China Eastern Airlines Technology completed 60 work orders and more than 10 non-routine tasks according to the work cards, which ensured the quality of the aircraft replacement work.

The reporter learned that the successful replacement of the first C919 aircraft has filled a gap in the field of civil aviation maintenance for domestic large aircraft.
