As a major civil aircraft manufacturer in the world, Boeing occupies a leading position in the aerospace industry. In 1970, Boeing Company officially put Boeing 747 into operation. This plane was widely praised as soon as it came out, but after more than 50 years of production, the production of Boeing 747 is coming to an end. On December 6, CNMO learned that Boeing will stop production of the 747 aircraft.

It is understood that the last batch of Boeing 747 aircraft products will be "delivered" late at night on December 6, and this model has been produced for more than 50 years. Boeing will deliver the last Boeing 747-8F all cargo plane to the air cargo company Atlas Airlines, which will also be the last 747 aircraft on the 747 production line.

Boeing 747, also known as "jumbo airliner", is also the first wide-body civil aircraft produced in the world. It is reported that on February 9, 1969, the first Boeing 747 prototype was tested. Boeing 747 held the record of the world's highest passenger capacity for 37 years from the time it was put into service in 1970 until the Airbus A380 was put into service. During this period, Boeing 747 has always been the first in the world's largest long-range wide-body civil aircraft.

It is worth mentioning that not long ago, Boeing released the latest World Air Freight Forecast for 2022. The forecast points out that the global air cargo volume will double in the next 20 years, and the cargo fleet will increase by more than 60%, reaching more than 3,600. It is foreseeable that Boeing will also make further progress in aviation in the future.
