Post-flying guarantee-USA Aircraft Group Corporation
Date: 2026/1/21
After the civil aircraft lands, a series of systematic security work will be carried out to ensure the safe and efficient subsequent operation of the flight. These works are usually called "over-station guarantee" or "after-fail guarantee", which are divided into two scenarios: short stop over-over (usually less than 90 minutes) and post-stop maintenance (end of operation on the same day). The following is the typical process:---
I. Short stop (Turnaround)
This is a quick guarantee process from the landing of the plane to the departure of the next flight, which is usually completed within 45-90 minutes, requiring efficient coordination of all links:
1. Docking and connecting
· The aircraft is parked on the bridge or in the remote position by the guided car or autonomous navigation, blocking the wheels and placing the safety pin of the landing gear.
· Bridge docking or passenger car/shullway car is in place; ground power supply and air-conditioned car connection (APU may be turned off to save fuel).
2. Passenger and cargo guarantee
· Disembarkation: The flight attendant guides the passengers to get off the plane, and the cleaning team boards and cleans up the cabin.
· Unloading: The freight forwarder unloads the arrival baggage and cargo mail.
· Loading: Load the baggage, cargo and meals of the next flight segment according to the load balance sheet.
3. Air food and cleaning
· Meals, drinks, etc. are served on the air food truck replenishment machine.
· The cleaning team changes the head and pillow towels, cleans the room, and replenishes hygiene products. Deep cleaning is usually arranged after the flight.
4. Machine inspection and maintenance
· Post-navigation report: The pilot feedbacks to the aircraft whether there is any abnormality in the flight (such as instrument warning, abnormal sound, etc.).
· Winding inspection: The personnel do an external visual inspection of the fuselage, engine, tires, brakes, control surface, etc. according to the work order to check whether there is oil leakage, damage, etc.
· Service work: add fuel (follow the requirements of the flight segment), check the lubricating oil, replenish oxygen, discharge sewage, etc.
· Quick trouble removal: If minor problems are found during the inspection (such as replacing tires and replenishing hydraulic oil), they need to be solved within the time limit.
5. Flight preparation and boarding
· Handover of refueling orders, bills of lading and other documents; the loading department calculates the balance data and sends it to the crew.
· The crew boarded the plane to prepare before the flight; the passengers began to board.
---
II. Post-ail maintenance (overnight or long stop)
After the plane completes all the flights on that day, a more comprehensive inspection and maintenance will be carried out:
1. Deepen the cleaning
· Thoroughly clean the cabin, kitchen, toilet, including carpets, seat gaps, etc.
2. System inspection and maintenance
· Cockpit data download: read flight data recorder (QAR) or fast access recorder (FDR) data for monitoring and analysis.
· System test: test hydraulic, electrical, aeronoelectronics and other systems.
· Fault repair: Deal with unresolved faults during short stops, and judge whether they can be retained according to the "Minimum Equipment List" (MEL).
3. Regular inspection
· Carry out different levels of inspection according to the plan (such as inspection based on every flight hour/depart and landing/calendar day), including replacement parts, test systems, etc.
4. Inspection of the appearance of the aircraft
· When the light is insufficient at night, use lights to assist in checking minor damage such as fuselage and engine blades.
5. Aviation materials and equipment guarantee
· Supplement the on-board life-saving equipment, medical supplies, magazines, etc.
---
III. Extra work under special circumstances
· De-icing/defrosting: In cold areas or seasons, check and remove the snow/ice on the body.
· Bird strike/lightning strike inspection: If you suspect a bird strike or lightning strike, you need to conduct a detailed inspection of the engine, radar cover, mask and other parts.
· A inspection/B inspection and other regular maintenance: according to the flight cycle, more in-depth maintenance will be carried out at a specific time.
---
Key features
· Collaborative operation: "Parallel operation" of ground service, aircraft, freight, aviation food and other departments to shorten the crossing time.
· Safety first: Any problems found in the inspection need to be handled according to the procedure, and the flight should be adjusted if necessary.
· Information management: track task nodes through the flight support system to ensure process compliance.
The whole guarantee process is like an "precision symphony". The goal is to safely complete the status change of the aircraft in the shortest time and prepare for the next flight.
